Whether you are just starting your musical journey, returning after a break, or anywhere in between, our team of experienced musicians would love to help you with your musical needs. At Menchey Music you can test drive a guitar & amplifier, try out a band or orchestra instrument with our convenient rental plan, explore our Yamaha Clavinova and Casio Celviano digital pianos or pick up a new music book or musical accessory. You can also take advantage of our variety of services, including private lessons, instrument repair, and guitar restrings.

Private Lessons

Menchey Music Gambrills has 7 private lesson studios and over 100 weekly students.  Our lessons studios offer a comfortable waiting area with free wifi for your convenience. At this time we are offering both online and in-person lessons.

Meet our Staff

Brandt Herbert, Store Manager

Brandt Herbert is a guitarist from Sykesville, MD. Brandt worked for Menchey Music from 2016-2021 as a retail associate in Gambrills and Westminster. He returned to our Timonium store in the beginning of 2025 and began his role as acting manager of the Gambrills location in February. Music is Brandt’s biggest passion in life, and he spends a lot of his spare time playing guitar, attending concerts, and collecting records. Brandt’s other interests outside of music include enjoying walks with his girlfriend and their dogs, cooking, and listening to podcasts.

Andrew Schwartz, School Service Representative Anne Arundel County

Andrew is an avid percussionist and drummer currently based in Towson, MD.  On most weekends, you can find him playing drum set with Mood Swings Big Band, one of the busiest wedding bands in the Baltimore area.  Outside of music, Andrew loves cooking barbecue on his smoker, watching Formula 1 racing, and going on weekend excursions with his wife and dog.
